Where. Lessons are typically held on the scenic River Tay. However, we are happy to travel to your preferred location. When you contact us, we can discuss travel costs.
What to Bring. Rod, reel & line: Equipment can be provided if required; just let us know in advance. Waders or wading shoes, a hat, and sunglasses for comfort and safety.
Beginner Classes are ideal for those new to Spey Casting:
• Equipment basics and matching rods with lines.
• An introduction to Spey Casting: why, when, principles, and mechanics.
• Basic principles of key casts, including the Roll Cast, Circle Cast, and Single Spey Cast.
• A Q&A session for all your questions.
• Dedicated practice time with professional feedback.
Intermediate Classes designed for anglers ready to elevate their skills:
• Advanced insights into Spey Casting principles, mechanics, and timing.
• Advanced techniques are demonstrated, including Roll Cast, Circle Cast, Single-Spey cast, Double-Spey cast, Snake Roll Cast, Overhead Cast, and Sunken Line cast.
• Identification and correction of casting faults.
• A Q&A session for in-depth discussions.
• Personalised one-on-one coaching and tailored practice.
Lesson Costs
Private Lessons: £50 per hour (recommended maximum of 3 hours).
Group Lessons: £130 per student for a 4-hour session (maximum 3 students; larger groups can be accommodated upon request).
